This growing concern in the modern era has people seeking out other types of care due to the lack of consistency in treatment. Opioid prescriptions do help but come with very costly side effects and the risk of addiction.

So with this growing problem and not a really good way to help what are you to do? There are many alternative treatments that help with low back pain including, chiropractic, acupuncture, supplements etc.

Wintergreen

This oil is amazing for helping ease pain. Wintergreen essential oil has methyl salicylate which is a compound that acts great as an analgesic. This means is calms down pain signals that are sent to your brain. This also cuts down inflammation in the joints and soft tissue.

Peppermint has some of the same properties that wintergreen does. The big thing that peppermint adds is menthol content in the oil. Menthol is used in most over the counter topical pain relieving creams and gels. It is what gives peppermint its powerful smell. It also helps to alleviate pain signals. Bonus for you!

Here is the blend that I make to help with low back pain.

10 drops wintergreen

10 drops lemongrass

10 drops peppermint

5 drops of helichrysum

I put those either in a roller bottle or a empty essential oil bottle with fractionated coconut oil. Roller bottles help as you can just roll on the essential oils for low back pain right onto the low back. It also comes in handy if you are travelling as you can have it right there with you.
